Two of the UAE's largest entertainment venues have signed new deals with ticketing and marketing specialist Showbiz Middle East.
The Dubai branch of the Australian-based company will handle all ticketing services for Madinat Jumeirah events. Property giant Nakheel, which will be running the permanent Cirque du Soleil installation on the Palm Jumeirah, has employed Showbiz to create its operational business plan for the project. The deals mark the first anniversary of the Showbiz ME launch.
"We are committed to bringing quality services and solutions to the Middle East's live events and entertainment industry. We [are looking to offer] ‘world's best practice' support to live events in the UAE," said Brett Judd, general manager of Showbiz ME.
Robert Lee, Nakheel's executive director of Investment Projects, claimed that property developers were increasingly factoring entertainment facilities into their plans.
"The importance of having entertainment industry experts available to offer guidance in these situations should not be underestimated," he said.
