Kuwait said on Tuesday foreign telecom operators and local companies have until November 18 to bid for a stake in the country's third mobile phone firm, an executive said on Tuesday.
The Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), which is managing the sale of the 26% stake, had received 500 inquiries about the sale, state news agency Kuna quoted Adel Al-Roumi, chairman of the founding committee for third operator, as saying.
The new operator would compete with Mobile Telecommunications (Zain) and National Mobile Telecommunications (Wataniya).
