The Jordanian Logistics Association (JLA) has been recently officially established to represent and promote the country's rapidly expanding transport sector.

The association was created after two years of cooperation with Jordan's Ministry of Transport (MOT), Ministry of Interior, FIATA and the Establishing Committee of Freight Forwarding Companies. JLA is an official non-profit organisation that's aims include raising industry standards, protecting the interest of its members and taking part in the preparation and implementation of rules, regulations and laws in collaboration with the concerned authorities.

"The need for an official entity that represents freight forwarders and logistics companies, which are two of the major components of the transportation industry in Jordan existed for a long time and grew recently. We are very glad about the official acceptance and we already have a full agenda for the coming period," said Ibrahim Naouri, president, JLA.
