DIFC governor leads Young Arab Leaders

by Reuters on Monday, 12 November 2007

Omar bin Sulaiman, governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre, has been appointed chairman of the board of the Young Arab Leaders (YAL) group, the DIFC said on Sunday.

Bin Sulaiman replaces Saeed al-Muntafiq, chairman of Dubai state-owned developer and investment arm Tatweer, whose term at YAL is coming to an end, DIFC said in a statement.

YAL, launched in conjunction with the Swiss-based World Economic forum in 2004, is a development platform for business, public sector and civil society leaders in the Middle East. The group has some 500 members in 11 chapters across the Arab world.
