Chris Moore, regional director, Extreme Networks MEA

Ethernet solutions provider Extreme Networks is looking to strengthen its channel with the announcement of a new partnership programme, which claims it has been launched to answer the needs of its growing reseller base. The programme will be applied in what it describes as critical markets and will involve points awarded to channel associates for good performance in specific skill areas.

"Our partners drive the success of Extreme Networks in the Middle East and Africa," said Chris Moore, regional director at Extreme Networks MEA. "With this new flexible approach, our partners can more easily achieve their own success, while receiving substantially improved benefits. We believe this will drive our mutual success in the high-performance networking marketplace."

The rewards system from Extreme Networks will focus on value added resellers, who will be able to join the programme though a web-based sign up process. The reseller will be encouraged to ‘invest in their own success' through sales and training. They will be assessed by the vendor every six months and if successful they should be eligible for benefits such as investment funds and training vouchers.

Existing partners in the MEA region will be able to enter the new programme in January next year. By July Extreme Networks is hoping all partners will be assessed under its new rules.
