DHL Exel Supply Chain beefs up healthcare logistics infrastructure

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Sunday, 18 November 2007

DHL Exel Supply Chain has conducted a series of best practice training modules for 15 personnel in the UAE, in an effort to strengthen its healthcare logistics solutions.

DHL subsidiary, Danzas, has also completed the reorganisation of its local healthcare site located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, where it has three chambers with an area totaling 1500m².

The chambers provide facilities to store and handle both medical devices and pharmaceuticals in temperature controlled environments. To achieve the necessary temperature, the climate in the chamber is checked by a series of probes whose records are monitored daily to ensure compliance with international standards.
