Dubai Logistics City wins at Singapore awards

Dubai Logistics City (DLC) was amongst the winners at this year's SCMLogistics Excellence Awards, which recently took place in Singapore.

The ceremony attracted hundreds of representatives from the Asia Pacific logistics industry, who witnessed DLC's chief executive officer Michael Proffitt winning the award for Supply Chain Executive Excellence.

"The logistics industry is one of the most vibrant industries in the world, witnessing astonishing growth in recent years," said Proffitt.

"This award is testament to DLC's unique multimodal hub concept and its growing significance in the global logistics industry. The project signifies one of the most important developments for the United Arab Emirates, and will represent a benchmark on both the regional and global stages as a testament to Dubai's dedication to the logistics and aviation industry," he added.

The category for Supply Chain Executive Excellence, which also included finalists from Volvo Group and Eastman Chemical, is designed to recognise the achievements of industry figureheads with a forward thinking approach to the evolving issues and challenges in supply chain management.
