Misaka and ARJ build successes

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer on Sunday, 18 November 2007
Light construction equipment does some heavy duty work.

Ahmed Ramadhan Juma (ARJ), a UAE based light construction equipment distributor, has helped Japanese light construction equipment manufacturer Mikasa Sangyo to increase sales of its light construction equipment by 745%, in the first nine months of 2007.

"For the nine months, ending Sept 30, 2007, the Mikasa's sales increased by 745% to 972 units, from 115 units for the same period in 2006," said Vipin Tak, sales manager of ARJ. "The Company expects the same sales trend to continue as a result of its new product introductions and intense sales activity in Abu Dhabi," he added.

ARJ will be launching the Mikasa Special Plate Compactor (MVB-85) for pavement / interlock compaction, an FX series, high frequency / cycle poker vibrator needle, and FU/FV invertors at the big 5 PMV exhibition later this month.

Featuring an operating weight of 90 kg, the MVB-85 offers 10 kN centrifugal force and 93Hz amplitude. Equipped with a Robin petrol engine operating with 3.5 HP (2.6 kW), MVB-85 model also features a strong protecting engine frame with one lifting point.

"Being a sole distributor for the Misaka brand, there is, and has been a great demand for ARJ products, the MVB-85 and MRH-700 rollers in particular. This is only made possible because our machines are of good quality and at the right price - price fluctuation in Europe (where our products are manufactured) works at a great advantage to us," said Tak.

"The last year has been fantastic, with more than 100 machines delivered to the UAE. Packed with power and durability, the MRH-700 especially, is engineered for high compaction results, and maintenance-free longer life," he added.

Mikasa's customers in the UAE include, Arabtech Group, Lootah Group, Al Basti and Mukhta, Al Naboodah Group and ETA Star International, among others.

ARJ have a total of around 120000 ft2 of warehouse/storage areas with an additional 20 showrooms throughout the UAE.
