• Always be prepared.

• To get the job done; sometimes you have to do it yourself.

• Live it up!

How have you applied this to how you work today?

I try to make sure that each assignment and responsibility in my organisation has been allocated the right resource(s).

I like hearing good news from my subordinates about our projects in progress otherwise I have to get involved in all the details.

Name one example of when you have made a difference to your business?

Creating a suitable atmosphere for people to enjoy what they do at work is one of my priorities. This helps me to retain the right people we select to work with us and save us at the same time unnecessary expenses. I listen to people and try to make the best of who they are and who they can become. A true manager is a manager that sees what lies beneath and explores the hidden talents and potential of his/her team members.

What makes a good CEO?

Character, knowledge, vision and determination.

What three qualities should every CEO have?

Be confident, have entrepreneurship skills and most importantly, be trustworthy.

What three things should a CEO never do?

• Underestimate the competition.

• Undervalue team member's capabilities.

• Ignore what employees and customer surveys say.

In a few words, what advice would you have for an aspiring CEO?

Remember who and what got you to where you are and help others along to achieve their goals.
