Five residential towers will open in Mina to accommodate pilgrims this Haj season, according to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Municipal and Rural affairs.

A sixth tower will open next year, bringing the total capacity to 19,200 pilgrims, Arab News reported.

The 13-storey buildings are divided into two categories, housing a total of 10,800 and 8,400 pilgrims respectively. The first three floors in all six towers will be reserved for utilities including reception offices, restaurants and prayer halls, with the remainder of floors use for accommodation.
