The EXCITE TOP is a multi-functional piece of equipment designed to offer a complete cardiovascular workout for the arms, torso and core stabiliser muscles. It also features a four-minute warm-up programme designed to improve performance and prevent injuries in strength training.

The product is suitable for rehabilitation and offers an interesting cardiovascular alternative for exercisers with knee or leg injuries, says Technogym regional sales manager Michele Moro.

Nautilus presents the One Strength Kit

The new Nautilus One commercial strength circuit features a simple dial that allows the user to adjust the weight on the machine quickly while concealing the actual amount of weight moving inside a tower. It replaces the traditional plates, pins and pulleys that are used to slide weights along a visible, vertical shaft.

The circuit features 14 machines, each of which is designed to achieve complete muscle activation across a full range of motion, offering comfort and ease of use for elite to deconditioned users.

Life Fitness treads ready to entertain

The new 95 Series range of treadmills from Life Fitness boasts seamless iPod integration, a Virtual Trainer for workout motivation and education and a USB port enabling members and trainers alike to create and save preset workouts and track users' progress.

The iPod compatibility will make it possible for iPod users to plug in and charge their iPods on the 95Te and 95Ti, watch videos on the equipment's LCD screen and control their iPod music playlists from the console.

The Virtual Trainer is designed to take the intimidation out of beginning a new workout and provide ongoing encouragement for exercisers. A male or female face on the integrated LCD screen advises users on every aspect of their workout, from describing programmes to updates on workout statistics.

Meanwhile, the USB port means trainers can store customised workouts on USB sticks for members to plug directly in the machine.

Life Fitness president John Stransky says: "The USB port enables exercisers to get on and go. Once they select their workout, the machine takes over and adjusts to the designated time, speed and elevation of the programme."

Finally, the treadmills have a larger running surface (22" x 60") and lower step height, but a smaller total footprint.

The first of the new treadmills will be introduced to the market in Dubai next month.

Power Plate adds new model

The vibration training experts at Power Plate have yet again improved the commercial fitness machine by incorporating new technology.

In addition to the existing pro5 model, Power Plate has launched the new pro5 AIRdaptive machine, which uses patented technology to adapt to an individual's body weight.

The AIRdaptive technology is said to electronically increase the amount of air in the bellows below the plate, enabling it to support up to 227kg. Designed specifically for commercial use, the maximum variations in settings allow the widest range of exercise, making it an ideal training solution for athletes from various disciplines, and for users with a high body mass.

The product is a new addition to distributor Al Kamda's portfolio of fitness products.
