Italian firm, Waterjet Corporation, has introduced the new Intelligent Tapering Control (ITC) technology in its machines.
The company, which is exhibiting for the 10th time at this year's Big 5, has sold around 170 machines worth US $34 million (AED 125 million) across the GCC and is back in Dubai to increase its customer base.
The new system manages to correct the tapering effect and to straighten out the perpendicular direction of the cut.
According to the company, the fastest possible cutting speed is maintained and the lowest production cost per part assured. The direction of the jet of water that is set during this operation also brings about an immediate reduction of both the ‘RC' (tail delay) effect and the acceleration-deceleration ramps time on the corners, ensuring the fastest and cheapest possible cutting cycle.
Speaking to Construction Week, Massimo Russo, vice president said: "This is the latest technology that we've introduced here at the Big 5. It's good to be here for the show because we make a lot of new contacts."
Some of the clients that have bought machines from the company include Al Habtoor, RAK Ceramics, Lootah Marbles, Al Abbar Aluminium and Gulf Craft.
