The new façade also comes with many benefits not offered anywhere in the region, according to Dolbeau.

French textile architecture company, Ferrari, has introduced its new range of eco-friendly textile facades which have a special UV resistant top coating that increases durability and is easier to clean and maintain.

The new Precontraint T2 back PVDF façade is being introduced by the company to the Middle East market at this year's Big 5 show at stand 3B-140.

Speaking to Construction Week, Eric Dolbeau, area sales manager, Africa and Middle East, Ferrari said: "Facades are one of the hardest things to clean because of the nature of their physical state but with our range of facades, cleaning is so much easier. In a region like this where dust and sand could ruin the look of the best looking buildings, such technology is vital. For example, Dubai Airport's terminal three is covered in sand, making it look very unattractive when it is actually a very good-looking and sleek building - such a situation can be avoided by our new PVD product."

The new façade also comes with many benefits that are not offered anywhere in the region, according to Dolbeau.

He added: "We offer a guarantee of 15 years. Nowhere in the world will you find anyone offering this on their facades. This goes to show how sure we are about our product. Also, with such focus on environmentally friendly products in the market, our product stands out again, as it is 100% recyclable."

Ferrari has been in the region for the past 15 years and has supplied facades for projects like the Ladies Pavilion in Abu Dhabi, the shaded car park on the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai's new Zabeel Park and the shopping mall, Tabuk Centre, in Saudi Arabia.

The company is based out of two offices - one in France and the other in Switzerland. It has also opened an office in Jebel Ali Free Zone.
