The Chedi Muscat hotel has been included in the newly launched Design Hotels Yearbook 2008.

The traditionally designed 151-room Oman property is the only hotel from the MENA region to be included in the fifteenth anniversary edition of the 650 page year book, which features photographs and text reflecting the crème de la crème of international hotel design.

"Each page of the Yearbook tells a different story, accenting what makes each property so exemplary and one-of-a-kind," said Claus Sendlinger, founder and CEO of Design Hotels.

"It is a compilation of outstanding design, but also reveals conscientious building methods, novel uses of high technology, interactive, as well as emotional environments and individualised service."

The 2008 Yearbook has adopted the theme ‘looking forward', includes 38 new member hotels, and aims to encourage innovative hotel design.
