Hatteras 77 Convertible

The 77 Convertible is a massive new vessel that will appeal to both cruisers and sportfishermen, thanks to its interior layout options and industry-leading specifications, including a 6.7-metre beam, 11,360-litre fuel capacity and 107 square metre accommodation space.

The 77 Convertible is introduced with an enclosed bridge and sweeping interior stairwell. The bridge is equipped with forward-facing seating for the pilot and four guests, a raised sectional aft, and an entertainment area with television, bar and refrigerator.

An open flybridge is also offered for the more active fisherman, as it better facilitates contact between the crew and captain and allows the helmsman to watch the action more easily.

The 77 features a luxurious salon with an enormous sofa with rod storage beneath, as well as Hatteras' Platinum Entertainment Package, a state-of-the-art audio/visual entertainment system that features touch-pad controls, upgraded flat-screen televisions and powerful audio capabilities. No step is required to access the galley, which features a wraparound counter and three custom bar stools.

To starboard is a large U-shaped dinette and entrance to a laundry room with washer and dryer. Opposite is a full-height, walk-in pantry that easily accommodates an optional, top-loading freezer and provides unprecedented galley storage.

Below deck, the 77 is configured with four staterooms, each with a private head, as well as crew quarters accessible from the engine room. The full-beam master stateroom lies amidships and is accessible through a foyer entry with full length cedar-lined hanging lockers. A his-and-hers head arrangement, normally found only on large motor yachts, is also available.

The 77 Convertible's cockpit features two fish boxes in the deck, as well as an optional box moulded into the transom. The mezzanine level offers an additional 2.3 metres of cushioned seating for improved visibility aft, as well as a deep freezer, storage tubs, tackle drawers and space for an optional baitwell.

Of course, you can also run the boat from that tall tower, which has a full electronics suite like the main helm, or use one of two auxiliary stations, either the one on the flying bridge or the one in the cockpit behind a flip-down panel. With the otional twin 2400hp MTUs, a 387-nautical mile range can be had at 26-knot cruising, but to get the most of the 30-knot top speed, the range drops to 360 nautical miles.
