In order to meet the demand for self-contained amusement centres within shopping malls in the Middle East, Extreme Group has developed The GameStar, a revolutionary theme park based on video gaming.

It aims to cater for the whole family with ‘G.S.K.' - GameStar Kids - targeting three to 10 year olds with gaming activities and characters they see on TV and ‘The 80s' appealing to parents, with games based on classics such as Tetris and Space Invaders.

Other zones will include Knock Out for those into sports games, while the Quest will target fans of action adventure games with a maze of corridors, caves and climbing walls.

The GameStar focuses on the whole experience of a video game by starting the experience at home where visitors can log onto GameStarTV.com to plan their visit, choose a character and costume and receive their mission.

Once at The GameStar, visitors can meet and play each other or ‘transmorph' into their hero for the day.

Points accumulated during the visit can be used for discounts in Freshies cafés and GameStar Stores located within The GameStar attraction, or even used post-visit online.

GameStar has been developed for the global video game entertainment market.

According to BBC research, 200 million individuals play PC games.
