Rezidor’s first female GM

The Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed its first female general manager in the Middle East.

The Belgian hotel group has named Cornelia Erhardt - who started her career with Rezidor at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel, Copenhagen in 1978 - as the new general manager of the Radisson SAS Residence, Dubai Marina, due to open in the second quarter of 2008.

"Cornelia's knowledge of the Radisson SAS brand will be a real asset to the property, particularly during the pre-opening phase," said Jean-Marc Busato, area vice president, The Rezidor Hotel Group.

"This will be our fourth Radisson UAE property and Cornelia will be responsible for strengthening our position as well as successfully launching our entry into the UAE's regional segment."

The 20-floor Radisson SAS Residence, Dubai Marina will consist of 152 luxury apartments - 22 studios and 130 one and two bedroom suites - and will provide separate gyms for male and female guests, a children's play area, free high speed internet and secure underground parking.
