Saudi carrier launches more international routes

Sama has launched its seventh international destination after announcing flights to Aleppo.

The Saudi low-cost airline will operate four weekly flights to Syria from Riyadh and Jeddah. It will also fly to Beirut six times each week from January 13.

According to the carrier, its sixth and seventh international routes were introduced to satisfy increased demand.

"Sama is expanding its international routes destination network to answer a growing demand from passengers travelling between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon and Syria, who are looking for value for money fares," a company statement said.

Fares to Beirut begin at US$113.4 from Jeddah, departing on Sundays, Mondays and Fridays, while prices for passengers flying from Riyadh start from $126.8. Flights from Riyadh leave on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Services to Aleppo from Jeddah begin at $69.4, departing on Sundays and Tuesdays. Flights from Riyadh leave on Mondays and Thursdays, with prices starting from $80.1.

Since introducing the new routes, Sama now flies to seven international destinations, such as Abu-Dhabi, Sharjah, Amman and Damascus.
