Many of the streets in Bur Dubai will remain be closed on Monday along with several major roads and a number of bridges due to the visit of US president George W. Bush, Dubai's transport authority said late on Sunday.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said Sheikh Zayed Road, Sheikh Rashid Road, Sheikh Khalifa Road, Al Khail Road and many of the internal roads in Bur Dubai would all be shut to traffic, as would Al Garhoud Bridge and Al Maktoum Bridge.
The RTA said drivers should use alterative routes, stating that Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah Road and Emirates Road would all remain open, as would all roads in Deira.
