by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer on Thursday, 03 January 2008
Around US $18 billion in hotel developments is slated for the GCC, according to figures from regional construction projects monitoring company Proleads.
The figures, released by organisers of the Hotel Show, show Dubai has the highest commitment of funds with $12.7 billion.
While many of the projects under development have not yet been assigned to operating companies under management contracts, Hotelier Middle East's list of upcoming developments shows the big hotel players have already signed up more than 66,000 rooms opening during the next four years.
