Hyatt Hotels is due to open three brand new properties in the Middle East this year, two of which will mark the group's first entry in to the five-star and boutique markets in the region.
With nine Hyatt properties already established throughout the Middle East, the opening of these additional hotels translates to more than 400 extra rooms across three countries - positioning Hyatt as one of the region's big players.
The Grand Hyatt Doha is slated for spring, followed by Park Hyatt Istanbul in summer and the Park Hyatt Jeddah should be ready by the end of the year.
Thierry Bertin, area director of marketing Middle East, Hyatt International Hotels and Resorts, is optimistic that the time is right for Hyatt's latest expansion. "Our continuous success in this region is based on a number of important factors, which include healthy regional economies and Hyatt's ability to identify and support key tourism destinations for today and the future."Our aim is to continue to develop our expansion plans in the Middle East, one of the fastest growing tourism destinations in the world, and offer our valued guests the highest standards of quality and service," said Bertin.
With 249 rooms, the Grand Hyatt Doha will mark the group's entry into the world of 5-star hotels in the Gulf state and the hotel's designers are aiming to blend an ancient world feel with up-to-the-minute contemporary technology. The Park Hyatt Istanbul-Maçka Palas will be located in the fashionable Nişantaşi residential and shopping district and will house 90 large deluxe rooms and 10 suites.
The Park Hyatt Jeddah will have 125 rooms and be the first boutique style hotel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It will be attached to the existing Equestrian Club and feature its own marina - it will also be the first hotel in Jeddah to offer unrestricted access to the seafront.
