Transguard will introduce a number of delivery vehicles into its fleet this month, to support the continued growth of its cash services division.
The security services provider, which is part of the Emirates Group, has trebled the size of its vehicle fleet over the past year, with recent additions including 10 VW transporters, 15 Mercedes Sprinters and 8 fully armoured Sprinters.
"We work with most of the major banks in the region and keep adding to our portfolio of financial clients. A big factor in this is the services we can offer through our state-of-the-art Cash Management Centre and a direct result is the need to continually increase our fleet of vehicles," said Adrian Mumby, logistics manager, Transguard.
"The fleet consisted of just 50 vehicles at the end of 2006 but now comprises more than 150 and is expected to keep growing throughout 2008," he added.
