Building systems automation provider Pacific Controls Systems has launched two solutions aimed at increasing the sustainable development of commercial and residential buildings.

The Green Building System (GBS) and Green Home System (GHS) use converged IP technology to enable opportunities to gain the points needed for Green Building/Home Certification. The solutions are intended to help developers, owners and occupiers to implement Dubai's 2008 Green Building Directive. They include state of the art technology that integrates and manages all of the electromechanical equipment within a building to reduce energy consumption.

Pacific Controls CEO Dilip Rahulan explained: "Both of these products have been developed in line with our commitment to the UAE government's drive towards achieving sustainable development in the region."

The GBS converges the IT network and building automation system, which enables substantial points to be achieved when certifying a building under a green rating system. Rahulan added: "The systems are designed to deliver all key pre-requisites necessary for certification and continuous measurement and verification as per international green building certification bodies."

GHS is an integrated future-ready home automation solution.
