Silverjet eyeing further UAE growth

Silverjet's management expects strong Middle East growth after increasing its sales force in the region.

The business class carrier has appointed Jane Daly head of UAE sales to secure more passenger's on the Dubai-London route.

Daly will be responsible for leading the airline's UAE sales team and securing repeat and new business. She will report to Katherine Gershon, sales and marketing director.

Her duties will involve working with ground handling agent Dnata to accommodate corporate and leisure travellers passing through Dubai International Airport.

During the past 25 years, Daly has worked in airline sales, airport operations, PR, events and marketing.

According to Daly, Silverjet's recently launched Dubai-London route is a popular service that will continue securing customers.

"Silverjet may be new to this market but our unique offering is one that the discerning and price-conscious traveller within the UAE is fully embracing," she said. "I am very excited to be heading the sales team here in Dubai and have been strongly encouraged by the level of interest in our service."

Silverjet flights depart Dubai daily at 1030 and arrive in London Luton Airport at 1445. Return flights leave London Luton at 2100 and arrive in Dubai at 0830. Connecting flights to New York Newark are also available, departing London Luton Airport at 1645.
