It was an all out chocolate fest and despite initial giddiness, they were all left feeling a tad nauseous.

For anyone who's watched Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, they'll be familiar with the mountain of Wonka bars that were quaffed in a bid to find the golden ticket.

There was spoilt Veruca Salt, whose parents bought her thousands of bars until she won; competitive Violet Beauregarde, who elbowed her peers out of the sweet shop; and then there was lovely little Charlie Bucket, who received a winning bar from his Grandpa Joe.

It was an all out chocolate fest and despite initial giddiness, they were all left feeling a tad nauseous. (So much so that one poor lamb even exploded.)

Had they been scoffing Galler chocolate, however, they'd have been onto a winner in the first bite and the golden ticket would have been somewhat of an irrelevance. Roasted, crushed, stirred, whipped and moulded to perfection in Belgium - the home of chocolateiers - Galler chocolates trump your average Wonka bar.

A mere nibble on its Bouchées Pralines and you'll feel as soporific as if you'd sunk into a bath with Chopin lilting out his Fantaisie-Impromptu overhead, while a pair of doves flutter by. And don't get us started on the Chocolat-Thé... simply divine.

But it's no surprise really, considering Jean Galler studied chocolate (yes, really) at the University of Basel in Switzerland at the tender age of 16 and then went on to open his own shop at 21.

While his contemporaries were championing the Beatles, Rolling Stones and ABBA, he learnt that cocoa beans should be roasted at 120°C, the Cayenne bean is packed with cocoa butter, Bahia brings robustness and Sinnamary has a roasted scent.

It's a triumphant treasure chest of mini hearts (dark and milk chocolate) sprinkled with a hint of cinnamon and apple, which fits Jean's mission statement: "I imagined a place reminiscent of my child, tea-time at my grandmother's, the air filled with the sweet scent of pie fresh from the oven."
