Technical services training provider SAE Institute Dubai has launched three new short courses for students covering the fields of digital DJ production, animation, and digital video production respectively.

The short courses are designed for professionals working in these sectors who are keen to improve their technical skills and gain experience working with the latest technologies.

The animation short course will run for eight weeks starting March 1 with one full-day face-to-face session per week. It will focus primarily on the latest 3D software graphics applications, including Maya. Students will gain an insight into the workflow of Maya, including modeling, texture lighting and rendering applications.

The digital video production short course will commence on March 24 and will also run for eight weeks with two classes per week. The course will provide insights into production techniques including camera operation, scripting, storyboarding, and editing.

The Digital DJ course will run for six weeks from March 2 with two classes held per week. The course will focus on the latest digital technologies impacting the DJ market, including software applications Torq, Traktor Scratch and Ableton Live.

"We understand that many of our potential students simply don't have the time to study full-time, nor do they need the formality of a diploma or degree," said SAE MD Marco Bettelli. "Hence through our short courses we are able to offer our expert training and accommodate their specific needs."
