The SAP Middle East and North Africa User Group is to host its largest ever meeting in Dubai this year.

The SUG-MENA annual meeting will bring together SAP customers, partners and vendor personnel to discuss latest developments, best practices and case studies for the leading ERP solution. The group has expanded rapidly since last year, growing by 30% to reach membership of 180 organizations in the region.

The meeting also marks the first time the event will have been held following the acquisition of SAP Arabia in September, putting the region under direct control of SAP AG.

SAP AG said in a statement that the company was focused on expanding the SUG to cater to growing customer numbers.

'The number of companies adopting SAP in the region has been growing at an exponential rate over the last two years, with a number of small, medium and multinational organizations recognizing the merits of SAP. The advent of this many new users means that we have developed our User Group to ensure that all members have access to support and networking wherever and whenever they need it. We are striving to devote more efforts in building the infrastructure for users in the region," said an SAP AG spokesperson.

The conference takes place from 4th-6th March.
