Interior design firm Wilson Associates Singapore has been awarded the contract for Al Osaimi Group's US$ 400 million luxury resort, spa and residence project located on the Crescent of the Palm Jumeirah.

The resort, which will be operated by Thai hotelier Dusit International, has been allocated US$ 110 million for furniture, fixture and equipment and will see the construction of two hotels.

Initial design work is set to commence in the first quarter of 2008 with Wilson Associates creating a custom interior for the project in line with the Moroccan and Indian-based themes, adopted for the five-star family resort and the seven-star luxury hotel respectively. "It's early days yet and we have only just started the concept design work," explained Rob Shen, Wilson Associates Singapore. The company is famous for creating highly specialised interiors including the Park Hyatt Dubai, The One and Only Royal Mirage Dubai and the Palace of the Lost City in South Africa.
