Uni Hospital names new CEO

The top executive of Cincinnati's University Hospital, Jim Kingsbury, has been head-hunted for the post of CEO of University Hospital, Dubai, according to sources in the United States.

Kingsbury is reported to leave his post as executive director and senior vice president of the 660-bed teaching hospital on March 14, although no start date has been announced for his role in Dubai Healthcare City's flagship facility.

Kingsbury's tenure was described as having "instituted significant operational and management changes that greatly improved the hospital's clinical systems," according to a memo from the CEO of Health Alliance, University Hospital's parent company, Ken Hanover and chief operating officer Dorman Fawley.

University Hospital, Dubai, is expected to open its doors to patients in 2011 and has been designed in collaboration with Harvard Medical International.
