Paramount to give its spin on security

by Andrew Seymour on Thursday, 06 March 2008

Security distributor and reseller Paramount Computer Systems (PCS) is set to outline the latest trends and innovations within the IT security channel at a forthcoming event involving a number of its vendor partners.

The company will host a day-long symposium to debate the growing need for robust information security practices in the region and will discuss issues such as risk management, flow based anomaly detection, converged identity management and data leak prevention.

"Organisations face significant security challenges today with the phenomenal growth in the adoption of new technologies such as web services, WLANs, instant messaging, VoIP, virtualisation, RFID and SOA amongst others," stated Premchand Kurup, CEO at Paramount Computer Systems.

"It is essential to create a dynamic model to achieve a secure IT security architecture that is in alignment with business needs and regulatory compliance," he added. "At Paramount, we are committed to bringing about a complete revolution in the arena of information security through showcasing niche technologies to address emerging security challenges."

As well as Paramount's overview of the market, attendees will also get to hear from executives at several of its vendor partners including Message Labs, RSA, Ounce Labs and Imprivata.

The event, which will be held in the UAE on March 10th, is expected to attract attendance from leading corporate executives including CTOs, IT managers, security managers and other key decision makers. Paramount will follow up the UAE event with a similar session in Qatar the day after.
