Following the release of LG’s music-oriented Cyon phone last year, LG are to continue collaboration with audio specialist Mark Levinson to produce a range of premium home theatre systems.
The two home theatres currently under development are the AP3133 and the LHT888.
The 7.1-channel AP3133 consists of multi-driver floor-standing loudspeakers, a centre channel speaker, surrounds, and a subwoofer. It’s also compatible with both Blu-Ray discs and the defeated HD-DVD format.
The LHT888, aimed at the ‘décor-conscious’, is a 5.1-channel system with slim speakers, each in tasteful parabolic housing inspired by the form of champagne flutes.
Kevin Cha, General Manager of the Amman branch of LG Electronics, said: “Our partnership with Mark Levinson, we believe, will support our goal of becoming a top player in the global audio and mobile phone market.”
