iBAHN will take on 45 Menacom staff. The financial terms of the deal were not released.

Graeme Powell, managing director EMEA, iBAHN, said: "Menacom has established a reputation for high-quality support and is an ideal fit with iBAHN's strategy for growth in the Middle East and Africa. The deal follows our recent acquisition of ETV, a complete end-to-end IP system combining digital TV, video on demand, digital audio, and electronic point of sale systems, which we will integrate with the Menacom offering as quickly as possible, to offer a state-of-the-art digital package to hotel guests worldwide."

Nour Bardai, chairman and managing director of Menacom added: "The acquisition will enable us to rapidly achieve our vision to be the leading service company in the region that delivers an unparalleled suite of converged services and guest entertainment to the hospitality sector."
