Top Layer takes security message to channel

Network security vendor Top Layer Networks has been working the crowds at a series of technology seminars for its channel partners and customers in the region.

The three-country tour, which took in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, follows the firm’s declaration that it is expanding its presence in the Middle East by forming key partnerships with security VARs.

It has already signed ComputerLinks as its regional distribution partner and claims to have attracted the attention of leading resellers such as Integralis, Dimension Data, Futuretec, INC, Security Matterz and iTs2.

Top Layer — which hosted the workshops and technical training in conjunction with ComputerLinks — gave attendees lessons on a number of security topics, including the next generation of network threats and the latest network intrusion prevention technologies.

The intrusion prevention systems specialist is keen to take advantage of burgeoning demand for infrastructure protection solutions in the region and says it will continue to pursue partnerships with key security resellers.

“The Middle East region is eager to acquire security knowledge and technologies that can better protect its new economic growth,” commented Mike Paquette, VP and chief security strategist at Top Layer. “Hosting the security seminar reinforces our commitment to our reseller partners and customers, and our dedication to the Middle East market,”
