Newly designed US Texas Chicken brand opens in the UAE

US quick service restaurant (QSR) Texas Chicken has been launched in Abu Dhabi with a new-look restaurant design, the first of its kind in the world.
The new restaurant, located on the Airport Road between Al Falah Street and Hazaa Bin Zayed Street, is part of an ambitious development plan at First Food Services - who are also the UAE's franchisee of Burger King - to open its second global brand within industry in the UAE.
"We are very pleased to open our first Texas Chicken restaurant in the UAE's capital. The restaurant is the first in the world with the completely new Texas Chicken fresh and trendy look, design and layout," said Yasser Abdel Azim, director of marketing and business development.
Texas Chicken was established in 1952, in San Antonio, Texas and is a highly recognised brand in the QSR industry and the second largest quick service chicken company in the world.
"At Texas Chicken we match great quality with great taste. We take pride in treating our customers to premium quality hot meals made of large and wholesome chicken.
"I am sure the Abu Dhabi community will enjoy Texas products, with its focus on a menu offering of a rich variety and the freshest of ingredients," said Abdel Azim.
Texas Chicken has around 1600 restaurants worldwide generating sales of approximately US $1 billion a year.
Texas Chicken is owned by Arcapita Inc, which was established in 1997 as first Islamic Investment Bank, which is an Islamic investment firm with branches in Bahrain, Atlanta, London and Singapore.
