MG TV gets on air with Arabsat

Interactive TV games and programmes in the region have got a boost as International Media Concepts Ltd (IMC) commenced its operations with the launch of MG TV, an interactive TV channel, on Arabsat Badr 4.
MG TV, which will have games for both families and action-oriented gamers will produce games that cater to the region's cultural needs. The gaming platform will be fully automated, and enable viewers to interact directly or participate in a TV programme through SMS and IVR (Interactive Voting and Response) services.
"Participants can use their mobile phones to engage with interactive TV contents for the challenge and win attractive and valuable prizes," commented Fadi El-Jabbour, managing director of IMC Ltd. "Many players/viewers can easily participate at the same time in the challenge as there is no need for them to invest in new technology or devices; mobile phones are commonly available in our region. Moreover using mobile phones is simple making it easy to interact with MG TV."
