Ground-breaking residences underway

IFA Hotels & Resorts (IFA HR) has officially broken ground on its Balqis Residence project in the Kingdom of Sheba resort, located on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.

Situated on the Crescent area of the Palm and covering 141,500 square metres of land, the Kingdom of Sheba is IFA HR's largest project on the island.

Slated for completion in 2010, the Balqis Residence - to be managed by Fairmont - will comprise: 34 four- and five-bedroom sea-facing villas with private pools, landscaped gardens and enclosed three-car garages; 28 townhouses, also with private pools, landscaped gardens and enclosed three-car garages; 16 four- to five-bedroom duplex penthouses; and two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom apartments with access to amenities including several swimming pools and covered parking.

Residents will share a private beach club, a large gymnasium and residence meeting facilities.
