Besix and Suez Group sign JV to operate in ME

The two companies sign the joint venture agreement to form new company, Besix Axima Services.

Besix and Suez Group have formed a new company, Besix Axima Services, to provide technical maintenance, facilities management and energy management services to the UAE and Qatar.

The joint venture is 50% owned by Besix and the Suez Group, of which SES-Suez Energy Services holds 20% and its daughter company Axima Services holds 30%.

Speaking on the recent announcement, Peter Van Praet, business development manager, Besix Axima Services, said: "Besix and Axima Services have had a partnership history for several years.

Both companies share the same visions based on commitment, long-term relationships and respects for customer service. We are confident that these basic values will enable them to create a successful and prosperous business in the region.

An array of sectors will be targeted, including airports, shopping malls, healthcare, residential, communities, retail and military camps.

Xavier Sinechal, CEO of Axima Services, said: "Axima Services is delighted to join forces with a partner such as Besix who has been doing business in the region for over 40 years. Together with the know-how and expertise of Axima Services we will turn this joint venture into a continuous success.

Van Praet added the new company will provide a global, innovative and economical tailor-made solution for each customer's demands.
