MEDIA SAVVY: Jordan's Queen Rania is to engage in dialogue with young people across the world to challenge Arab stereotypes.

Jordan’s Queen Rania has launched an appeal on YouTube calling on young people across the world to challenge stereotypes of Arabs and the Muslim world.

The queen, who has previously spoken about misconceptions of women in the Arab world, said in a statement: “In world where it’s so easy to connect to one another, we still remain very much disconnected. There’s a whole world of wonder out there that we cannot appreciate with stereotypes.”

“I want people to know the real Arab world, to see it unedited, unscripted and unfiltered, to see the personal side of my region, to know the places and faces and rituals and culture that shape the part of the world I call home,” she said.

The queen, the wife of King Abdullah II, invited viewers to express their opinions of the Middle East and to “acknowledge stereotypes they’ve heard of Arabs and Muslims”.

She pledged to work towards breaking down preconceptions over the coming months in a dialogue which will continue until International Youth Day on August 12.

“I will be also encouraging YouTubers to help me address some of these common stereotypes, so I will be relying on your skills and creativity…. to get this right,” she said.

You know, it's really good to have such a person in the Middle east to stand and fight back for those who make rumors about Islam and Arabs, and guess what, she's a "Woman", well she's a Queen...

She know exactly how to fight back, using the most used media platform in the world nowadays, which is Youtube...
Very Brilliant Queen Rania, we saw you once on Oprah, and here you go again on Youtube... Bless You...
