by Robeel Haq on Wednesday, 02 April 2008
STORAGE SOLUTION: Aramex launches warehouse in Cairo.

Aramex has opened a warehousing centre in Cairo to bolster its operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The facility, which measures 6500m2 in total, has been designed to enhance the logistics company's existing 5000m2 warehouse in the Egyptian capital.

"Aramex is committed to providing our customers in Egypt with efficient transport networks and a worldclass logistics infrastructure that meets the demands of the country's rapid economic growth," said Samer Gharaibeh, Aramex's chief executive officer in Africa.

Located in the bustling suburb of Abou Rawash with direct access to the city's ring road, Aramex's latest warehouse links to the company's other logistics centres in the MENA region. It has been equipped with a comprehensive system for processing and managing online orders, which includes an option to track shipments in realtime.

"We wanted to implement global standards in security and the latest technology to make this facility ideal for IT and communications companies that operate in such a fiercely competitive market," added Gharaibeh.
