Qatar to host conference on ICT In Education

This April will see teachers, school administrators and ICT administrators gathering in Doha, Qatar, for the country’s yearly ICT conference, which this year will have the theme of Exploring ICT in Education.
Among the speakers at the event is Dr. Mahmoud Watad, Associate Professor of Management at William Patterson University in New Jersey, who’ll be talking about knowledge management. Dr Elizabeth Murphy, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Memorial University, Newfoundland, will be discussing teaching methods aimed at improving students’ ability with a second language.
Other highlights of the day should include the presentation of web-based and tablet-PC based approaches to teaching developed at academic institutes within the country.
The conference will also feature exhibitors from ictQATAR, Carnegie Mellon University Qatar, Pearson Education, ITWorx and LP+.
Dr. Harald Jorch, President of the College of the North Atlantic - Qatar, a co-sponsor of the event, says: “This conference will bring the best and brightest of IT professionals from around the world to Doha. CNA-Q is committed to introducing the newest technologies and teaching methods into our classrooms. The event will take place on the 15th April at the CNA-Q campus.
