Video conferencing specialist Tandberg has marked its progress in the Middle East region by dishing out awards to ten of its leading partners at an annual conference in Dubai.

CommTel Systems bagged the highest sales prize, while Dell reseller Emirates Computers landed an award for its training capabilities. Al-Rumaih Trading, Aryam Satellite, Group 4 Securicor, Oger Systems and MAGFA also picked up silverware for their efforts in a variety of categories.

In the individual categories, ITS' Mohammed Abujubara won the highest service sale award and Ismail Akkila, from Group 4 Securicor, took home the director's award.

Oslo-listed Tandberg, which manufactures high-definition video conferencing and mobile video systems, also used the conference to share its regional go-to-market strategy and outline its plans for the rest of the year.

Beau Wardak, general manager at Tandberg, insists the company is riding high after what has been a successful year in the Middle East.

"Our partner community has been a vital link in this process and we would like to acknowledge their valuable contribution in our success," said Wardak. "We would like to build on this success and to do that we are committed to establishing a high quality channel network through a strong partner programme which will give them the best margins and add greatly to the value and ease of doing business with Tandberg."
