"...our expansion into the UAE will ensure greater continuity of service for many new and existing customers as we build the UAE as a regional hub," Julian Gouge, head of Middle East and Asia personal banking for RBS International, said in a statement.

As a representative office in the UAE, all products will be offered out of Jersey.

Some of the products and services offered will include multi-currency accounts, investment and treasury products, mortgage products and internet banking.

In addition to Jersey and Dubai, RBS International has a presence in Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Gibraltar, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Africa.

RBS International is part of Royal Bank of Scotland Group, one of the world's largest banks.
