Mall to introduce new F&B concepts in Bahrain

Bahrain City Centre.

Bahrain's largest concentration of food and beverage outlets to be found under one roof will open later this year. The Bahrain City Centre development in Manama is due to open its doors on September 1 and will include 11 coffee shops, 13 restaurants, 21 food court units and nine smaller outlets serving juice, ice cream and other snacks - taking the total to 54 outlets.

"With an unrivalled selection of [international] brands and local names, we will offer the widest choice to our customers," said senior vice president of MAF Shopping Malls, Shahram Shamsaee.

Bahrain City Centre will occupy a total built-up area of 150,000m² and will also incorporate two international hotels managed by Kempinski, with a total of 550 luxurious rooms offering four- and five-star facilities.

Built at an investment of over BD 25 million (US $66 million), the Kingdom's biggest multi-use development is expected to contribute significantly to the local economy.

The development has already created more than 2000 job opportunities and aims to attract more than 15 million shoppers in its first operational year.

"The opening of Bahrain City Centre bring more than 350 stores ranging from the world's most recognisable brands to popular local retailers," Shamsaee said.
