"Kuwait signifies a prime opportunity for us to capture additional market share, and we believe Active's unparalleled experience and in-depth understanding of the local market will help us position BenQ as one of the country's leading IT brands," he added.

BenQ says that demand for LCD monitors in Kuwait is far higher than in other parts of the GCC, driven by a strong uptake from business and government organizations, and by greater spending power among Kuwaiti consumers.

Parvez Ahmed , chief operating officer, Active said: "BenQ shares our vision for providing consumers with a wide range of superior products and excellent service. Our logistics, finances and services are all in sync with BenQ's distributor requirements, and replete with an experienced management team, high frequency resellers and a diverse product range we are confident of achieving success for BenQ in Kuwait."
