Le Meridien Al Aqah in Fujairah will use ATM to highlight the growth of the East Coast's tourism industry.

Having partnered with the Fujairah Tourist Board (FTB), the hotel has helped oversee the transformation of Fujairah into a "must-see" tourist destination, according to Patrick Antaki, general manager, Le Méridien Al Aqah.

"The stunning natural beauty of the East Coast, the year-round pleasant sunshine and easy accessibility from other emirates has made Fujairah a hugely popular tourist destination attracting visitors, both regional and international, keen to sample first-hand what the area has to offer," he said.

"The East Coast is also witnessing the inauguration of new hotels, which further attest to the growth of the tourism industry here, highlighting just how far we've come. Our continued participation in ATM and other major international travel and trade exhibitions in conjunction with the emirate of Fujairah remains top of our agenda at Al Aqah year after year," he added.

Abu Dhabi National Hotels' Al Diar Siji Hotel will also be looking to benefit from the emirate's growing popularity and is specifically targeting the business sector at ATM.

"As a five-star business hotel, Al Diar Siji Hotel has everything that corporate clients or business travellers would need in conducting meetings, conferences and other business concerns," explained Fouad Melhem, general manager, Al Diar Siji Hotel.

"The hotel offers one of the largest conference and banqueting rooms in the emirate, which can accommodate up to 700 guests. In fact we hosted the fifth Fujairah international bunkering and fuel oil forum with 200 delegates from 30 countries in 2007."
