PARTNERSHIP: Officials from DWTC and Reed Exhibitions.

Reed Exhibitions has launched its latest Middle Eastern trade show, aimed at the flourishing market for logistics and supply chain operations.

The exhibition, titled SITL Dubai, will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) in November 2009, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman of Emirates Group.

It is expected to attract around 250 exhibitors in total including warehousing and distribution companies, technology providers, material handling equipment suppliers, and real estate firms.

In addition, the event will include a programme of conferences and training sessions, such as the ‘hosted buyers programme', which is designed to bring together international decision-makers from the transport and logistics sector.

"SITL Dubai 2009 will give Reed the opportunity to pursue its development strategy on major logistics markets, combining 25 years of international expertise with our knowledge of the local market," said Frédéric Theux, president of Reed Exhibitions Middle East.

"At the same time, Dubai can expect to strengthen its position as a leading logistics platform by bringing together the world's most innovative and advanced companies for the event."

Reed Exhibitions has already confirmed a steering committee for SITL Dubai, with representatives from Emirates SkyCargo, Dubai Logistics City, Dubai Cargo Village and Dubai World.
