Toshiba has revealed three new mid-range notebooks, which are targeted at the style-conscious end user.

The new 13.3 inch Satellite U400, 15.4 inch Satellite A300 and 17 inch Satellite P300 include design features and functions that are meant to appeal to mobile users who want a modern looking notebook, according to Santosh Varghese, regional general manager of Toshiba Computer Systems Division.

"The Satellite range will appeal to style conscious men and women who want a smarter digital experience. Whether they are making their first foray into mobile computing or are already versed into wireless technology, the new Satellite notebooks are intended to become the heart of their digital lives - in a timeless design that has contemporary flair," Varghese said.

The new Satellite models include LED-illuminated multimedia bar, integrated webcam, Harman Kardon speakers and Dolby Surround Room. They also include WPS-PBC (Push Button Configuration) for easy set up of wired and wireless networking, and HDMI-CEC port connectivity. Power management is aided by a Quick charge system, which charges 60-70% of primary battery power within one hour if in stand-by mode.

Models are available with both AMD and Intel processors, and all use ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470/3650 graphics processing capabilities and DVD SuperMulti drive.

Recommended pricing before custom duty and local taxes for the Satellite U400 Series is $1,050 to $1,500; Satellite A300 Series is $975 to $1,850 and the Satellite L300 is $700 to $950.
