Brochure first for Al Rostamani Travel

Al Rostamani Travel’s new brochure.

One of Dubai's largest corporate travel agencies Al Rostamani Travel has plunged into the leisure market and launched its first brochure.

The 220-page 'Destinations' brochure features 26 "of the most popular destinations with the UAE market" and has been heavily influenced by the holiday brochures on offer in the European market, revealed Al Rostamani Travel general manager Heinz Gabel.

"We are the first company in this market to bring in a brochure that follows the patterns of the European market," he told ATN.

"We offer plenty of destination information as well as lead-in package prices for some of the destinations. We will print the brochure on high quality paper but print the price sheet separately [on different paper] because they will have a much shorter shelf-life."

Destinations include London, Switzerland, Austria, South Africa, Tanzania, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, China, Vietnam, Australia and Jordan.

"Based on our experience, travellers normally stay longer in these destinations and would like to explore it more. We have therefore included some escorted tour itineraries and cruise options for various destinations in this brochure," said Gabel.

Cruise operators included are Star Cruises, Costa, Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Princess, while rail travel and tour options in Europe are also offered.

Other brochure innovations include a list of must-sees and must-dos for each destination, as well as icons indicating the facilities at or close to properties featured, noted Gabel.

These icons denote shopping, family/kids' activities, spas, honeymoons and so on.

Gabel said 150,000 copies of the brochure would be distributed "through various channels" across the UAE.

"We will of course send them to our corporate clients, but also to travel agents too and rates will be commissionable," he said.

In addition to launching a brochure, Al Rostamani Travel is also changing the concept of its outlets so that each has more of a focus on the leisure component.

The leisure area of each shop/office, with the exception of the Jebel Ali branch, will be prominent, although corporate clients will still be well catered to with their own section.

There are plans to open around six more outlets this year across the UAE - in locations including Al Ain, Dubai Marina, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi - taking the company's total to 12 outlets.
