More iPhones for India
by Mark Sutton on Monday, 12 May 2008
Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) announced today that it will bring Apple's iPhone to four countries in the Asia Pacific region, including India and the Philippines, sometime later this year.
The operator revealed that it has signed a deal with Apple to sell the iPhone in Singapore and through its partly-owned subsidiaries Bharti Group in India, Globe Telecom in the Philipines and Optus in Australia.
No more information is available from SingTel at present.
Last week Vodafone announced that it would sell iPhone in ten countries where it operates, including India, Egypt, Turkey and South Africa.
