Juniper confirms improvements to J-Partner initiative

by Andrew Seymour on Tuesday, 20 May 2008

Enhancements to Juniper's J-Partner Programme that were announced at its recent annual channel summit in Las Vegas will be extended to the EMEA region, the company has confirmed.

The move means resellers in the Middle East will have access to four new sales resources that are designed to help them better manage and implement high-performance network infrastructure solutions.

Juniper verified news of its plans to regionally roll out the resources - which include a virtual lab and an advanced technical course - at its EMEA partner conference, which is currently underway in Lisbon, Portugal.

"We continue to invest and offer business-building resources and service-enabling initiatives to help partners deliver the right mix of high-performance networking solutions to their customers," stated David Small, VP channel sales EMEA at Juniper. "As we broaden our solutions portfolio with products like the EX-series of Ethernet switches and leverage JUNOS as our single-source operating system, we strengthen the overall business value our J-Partners bring to the enterprise," he added.

Top of Juniper's list of J-Partner enhancements is its JUNOS knowledge transfer kit, which is designed to help partners educate customers on the vendor's software. It has also launched a virtual lab enabling allies to gain online product training, as well as a solutions configurator to speed up deployment times.

Finally, the vendor outlined details of its ‘sales specialist advanced course', aimed exclusively at authorised sales engineers involved with designing and configuring Juniper solutions.

In addition to unveiling the programme updates, Juniper's senior EMEA management team, led by regional VP Gert-Jan Schenk, is using the event in Portugal to brief EMEA partners on its forthcoming go-to-market plans. Some of the vendor's key Middle East partners, such as OnLine Distribution and Alpha Data, are at the event to hear about the company's strategy and meet with local management, including new Middle East chief Samer Shaar.
